your cassettes or digital media. We will contact you by email and/or

- When do I have to pay?
- If you are a University based client, just provide a purchase order or grant number
and will bill directly. Individuals and corporations need to make a deposit when sending
the material to us. Payment of the balance is due upon receipt of the transcripts. We
accept checks or credit/debit cards via PAYPAL. See rates and terms. Back to Top

- Who is Franklin-Square Services?
- FSSI was founded in 1995 by Cornelia Maurer who continues to manage client
accounts today. We began as a full fledged office support company for the FRANKLIN-SQUARE
office campus. Since 1999 we have focused our business to transcription
services. Our
transcriptionists are predominantly college graduates (we do NOT outsource to foreign
companies!!) with a minimum of 3 years transcription experience. They specialize in the
areas of research transcription such as in public health, social studies, education,
business management, health services, journalism or medicine. Some of our staff is very
skilled in listening to heavy accents or difficult speech patterns, be it
English dialects
or foreign accents. Your transcription manager selects the staff best suited to your

- What is your turnaround time?
- A 60-90 minute audio takes 24 to 48 hours to complete. Rush Service may be
available. At times additional rush fees of up to 40% may be required. Your transcription manager will confirm a shorter
turnaround time before you send us your files. Turnaround time on larger orders depends on
our schedule at the time we receive your order. Usually we can
immediately complete a few
tapes/files within 2-4 days and continue to send you transcripts when they are completed
so you can code or otherwise process the transcripts. If you are planning a larger study
let us know in advance so we can set our schedule accordingly. Back

- Can you give me tips for recording my interviews ?
- Yes. Describe your project to us and we'll make recommendations on the best
equipment to use and send you the do's &don'ts for recording.
Our tips may prevent you from getting unusable data and being disappointed after investing
